ICQ SMS Xtra Notification


3 days ago, I finally received the notification about the new Pro7 ICQ SMS Xtra, where I reported about its existance on June 7th and when it was finally in English ICQ 5.1 I presented screenshots on June 13th 😎 So have been 3 weeks faster than the ICQ Team! 😀

DualPhone Experiences.

I have some experience to share about my new DualPhone by RTX.

First you may wonder why there are so many of this DualPhone

I found it sold as:

-DualPhone
-NTP DualPhone
-Olympia DualPhone
or Vidis SKYPE DUAL PHONE SKY 200 USB

DualPhone Support wrote this:

“Thank you for contacting Dualphone support.

This should physically be the same phones produced by RTX with different naming.

Best Regards
Dualphone support”

Eventually, I found the reason for this here:

“(Please note, RTX is not selling to private consumers. We only sell to OEM customers on large volume commitment and to brand manufacturers)”

Anyway, I decided to update to latest DualPhone Suite (Release Notes).
And after updating I noticed this:

So because of the phone itself not updating, the new features mentioned in the Release Notes did not work. No text chat notification, no hold tone, etc.

After 5 tries I actually got it working! 🙂 It’s special somehow though, yet I only knew firmware updates from mobile phones, never from home phones! 🙂

OutRun 2006 PC DVD Is Out!

After months of waiting, OutRun 2006 Coast 2 Coast for PC DVD is out! (you can see screenshots of the PC version here since the official homepage still says “coming soon”).

OutRun is the classic arcade of racing games ever! It’s incredibly fun, it’s one of the rare games where I yelled “HOOOOO!” while playing since it was so much fun! 😀

It plays exactly like an arcade, except it has better graphics (which are really good, especially the Sega City stages with rain, wet streets and puddles!). Well done Sumo & Sega!

The only problem at first was starting since the copy protection would make troubles with my DVD writer (LG GSA-4167B), but SecureROM Support fixed it within 1 day after I emailed them the analyize file. Incase you have a LG GSA-4167B, their patched executeable for only this drive can be downloaded at this location.

Fortunately when I was in a small arcade in Sweden, fortunately the controllers worked! 🙂

I have got a DualPhone


I finally got myself a new phone, as the old one got a slight buzz sound on both ends during phone calls which made me feel unhappy about it.

Since I am a Skype user, I decided to get my hands on a DualPhone, which can do Skype and PSTN both in one.

(And as you can see above, at the end of their survey, they anounce a new dualphone already 🙂 Participation is worthy, since you can win a Dualphone! 🙂

I think I prefer the current one, though.

So now, when somebody calls me on Skype my phone rings, but I do not do voice with strangers! 😛

Opera 9 Final Is Out!


Finally, it’s out! – Opera 9!

They also started a big campaign and a release party.

I have written a review about Opera 9 earlier (based on beta versions which are not much different from its final product, though) at this blog post 🙂
