I have not looked bad when I saw that above email in my inbox telling me that I am now operator of the ICQ C2C Help Group. Looks like I have got a fan there! Thank you! 🙂
What does this mighty button do? – I wondered. (Seee the button of the back on the phone in the second picture here.
I asked Netgear support (the Email Support in Germany, as the phone support does not know any bit about the product!) about this button and here is what they replied:
please excuse the waiting time.
The connector is at the moment without function. More we do not know.
Does anybody have any idea?
He mentiones a few disadvantages he found:
“SKIPI is basically Skype buttons on steroids. You enter your Skype Name and can then customize it a bit more than you can with the Skype wizard, especially the graphic part. On the other hand, it seems to offer only the “call” action, there was no option for “view profile” or “chat”.
Here’s a button that I made for myself with their wizard. Neat — only turns into a “callto” link when I’m online. (Then again, this means you can’t call me and get forwarded, and that you can’t leave me voicemail.)”
The developing company has even replied to him with a statement which can also be read at above link.
However, their customer support/homepage seems to be questionable again, since it’s not available at all localized translations (check out German for example).
And infact the support is so clueless and helpless in some cases, that I had to write a letter to RTX and got a reply from the RTX Product Manager. More about this can be read in my post here.
They have put up a presentation of the phone, here.
Well, this one costs 50 € more, so maybe they will put a bit more enthuasm into it than their old one. Time will show!
I am still sad about the heaset issues 🙁
People can buy Moo Cards now without a need to have a credit card.
I have received the following email from Moo today:
Just thought you might like to know that we have launched our Paypal payment system at www.moo.com
Please feel free to contact us again if you have any questions.
Service Agent – MOO Print Ltd.
That’s pretty cool, isn’t it? 😎
Also the addressing error has been fixed:
“We had a small BUG that dropped the email address into the mailing address, this is now fixed.“
Time to get some mil….errr….cards! =)
The USBCell rechargeable batteries are also available in many European countries.
The company sent me today the following email:
“You’ll be pleased to know that since our launch 2 months ago USBCELL has received considerable attention worldwide. As a result www.usbcell.com is now shipping the AA product beyond the UK, to the USA and parts of Europe (Ireland, Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria), with other geographies to be announced soon.
Since our launch 2 months ago, the web-site has become the most visited battery company online, and has been covered in USA Today, WSJ, ABC News, FT (e.g. http://www.usbcell.com/pr/5 ).
We are also running a special Christmas offer of a Gift box of 10 packets (http://www.usbcell.com/product/8 ) for homes or offices wishing to reduce battery waste – e.g. by using our re-usable batteries in wireless mice/keyboards or other devices.
USBCELL Media Team”
That’s pretty wicked, isn’t it? =)
I am soooo excited, I will try to get my hands on some of them! 🙂
Now it’s possible to Digg a post if you like one very much, since I have added DiggIt links!
To quote their homepage:
“What is Digg?
Digg is a user driven social content website. Ok, so what the heck does that mean? Well, everything on digg is submitted by the digg user community (that would be you). After you submit content, other digg users read your submission and digg what they like best. If your story rocks and receives enough diggs, it is promoted to the front page for the millions of digg visitors to see.
What can you do as a digg user? Lots. Every digg user can digg (help promote), bury (help remove spam), and comment on stories… you can even digg and bury comments you like or dislike. Digg also allows you to track your friends’ activity throughout the site — want to share a video or news story with a friend? Digg it!”
Happy digging! 🙂
I just noticed today, that I got dumped for BlogDumps!
“ I chose to dump Nafcom. I found great info about Skype on his blog, and as I’m an avid Skype user it was like finding treasure. I’m off to download the RSS feed reader to Skype!“
I am so glad that there are real fans of my blog. I will try to keep on going the same way! =)
