There is a new ICQ 5.1 Build #2575 (EN) #2405 (DE) which seems to be a pure bugfix release of the recently released 5.1 Build #2573 (EN) #2403 (DE).

The English version can be downloaded here and the German version here

Taken German info site chip.de. The download links are refering to Chip.de servers.

A lot of sources report about about Internet Explorer 7
But what nobody seem to have mentioned is, that MSIE7 Beta 2 allows you to start it without any add-ons (via the link in “System Tools” program group) and that it’s actually possible to even delete them!
(especially the highly hightly controversially discused ActiveX).

While, I was installing my webcam, I was wondering about several things.

First, you will notice that they only promote their webcams only forAIM, Yahoo, AIM and Skype. “What about ICQ?”, you may ask.
Well, ICQ Video. had issues with routers (so it didn’t work for me), but in the new ICQ 5.1 it works for me:

Thanks to a new verification method, I have my blog now also added to Google Sitemaps! 🙂

There is that RL Simpsons video on YouTube and it got uploaded like 50 times by several people, they are all equal except one of them (as far as I saw, at least),
So let’s the equal ones call The Original and the other one The Copy.

Can you find the differences? =)

Did any of you notice that there is more info to gather about the Old ICQ 5.
If you leave the ordinary ICQ homepage.

One of these examples is the Netvigator ICQ homepage, that offers a localized old ICQ 5 for people Using nevigator and live in Hong Kong.

Interestingly, they are bi-lingual so you can also watch the Natvigator ICQ flash tutorial telling you about the differences. So, you may wonder why some ICQ clones have different Status Manager icons, that is because such clones stole them from Natvigator ICQ!

Also interesing: The ICQ Press Center still uses the old ICQ 4 to explain what ICQ Xtraz are!

Please notice that there is a new ICQ called ICQ 5.1! 🙂

I have reported earlier about the “Logitech Quickcam Orbit MP” webcam earlier, and I noticed something intersting:

It has a different name over here (thanks to me asking Logitech support and them telling me).

Infact: There are two webcams “Logitech QuickCam Sphere Webcam” and “Logitech QuickCam Sphere REFRESH Webcam”
the first one is old and from 2004 and the Fresh one is from April 2006.
And many shops/mail traders in Germany use that to sell both for the SAME PRICE!

Good that I checked in Amazon! =)
