Even if I am not the first that reports this, since a while now, the Skype Team gives out SkypeOut calls for free in August! 🙂

Even Skype has hidden emoticons! Jean Mercier allowed me to post a screenshot of them!
Enclosed, a comment: Jean Mercier says:“ in the picture i did send: (ci) is missing and (kate) = (makeup) and is NOT hidden, but (kate) is NOT known! (ci) = (smoking).”
Thanks! =) Now more people know! 🙂

I was today allowed to switch to Blogger in Beta!
(Big thanks to the Blogger Support for allowing me to switch my account to Blogger in Beta!).
A list of all new feautes can be found here. Among the new features is also labeling which means you no longer have to rely on categories hacks or crappy services like Labelr! 🙂
I have done a slideshow with screenshots of the new Blogger in Beta.
The Blogger Team themselves made a tour, also an entry in their Blogger Buzz blog can be read.
Unfortunately classical template editing is not available as of yet, that’s why I was unable to keep my template switched to the new customizedable version!
Anyway, great work, cannot wait till you re-enabled classical template editing so I can completely switch my blog! =)

IMPORTANT: My blog is currently in the process of switching to the new Blogger software! This proccess will cause my template to temporarily be broken and look weird or not loading correctly!
I will perform this update as fast as possible, thanks for your understanding!

I just noticed yesterday, that ICQ offers – next to the ICQ Toolbar – also a German ICQ Search!
ICQ Search is based on Google but it shows screenshots of the homepages in its search result (source of the images is Alexa)!

Skype has fineally got a new forum.
What many people – especially those who are not at using Skype since the beginning – don’t know: The Skype Team said in the forum already over 2 years ago that a new forum will come that intergrates seamless into the Skype homepage.
Now finally they have done it!
One big disadvantage however is, that they did not migrate the user database, means after login you have to choose your desired display name. If your display name for the forum has already taken by somebobdy else, you have…errr… bad luck! 🙁
Luckily, “Nafcom” wasn’t taken by somebody else, yet! 🙂

The weirdness doesn’t stop, Skype gets intergrated everywhere!
After Skype in Ebay we got now Skype in Dating! 🙂
Not much users as of yet, but who knows, maybe it will grow! 🙂
They even allow logging into a test user account as you can see above. Despite the fact it’s small it looks pretty professional to me! 🙂
Good luck!

I have recently added 2 new Skype blogs to my blogroll!
The first is Skype Numerology which keeps us posted about the development of Skype. – Interesting in my eyes is the fact that he seems to report about every little detail he found new in Skype. (That’s the same way how I do it when reporting about ICQ).
Sure a blog to check out!
The 2nd one is Skype Lifestyle which writes about how much Skype changed the life of Ike Roelfsema who even runs a business which is based on Skype. (Skype Journal interviewed her, Skype wrote a blog entry).

Despite the fact that other blog software has more features than Blogger, I decided to keep using it. Infact alot of those features can be added by 3rd party services. At this place you can read suggestions on how to “beef up” Blogger to the same level like their competitors.
And one big plus of Blogger is its very good email support. They always replied to me and always have been very helpful.
Maybe the new Blogger Beta will bring some of the suggested features under our fingertips! 🙂
