Opera 9.21 is out with native WMP11 Firefox plugin support for Windows Vista!

Opera 9.21 is out and can be downloaded!

It has – according to the changelog now official native support for the Windows media player 11 NP (Netscape/Firefox plugin for Windows Vista/XP).

However, it’s a bit tricky to install as the installer doesn’t let you choose to which plugin directory you want to install the plugin. So you have to install Firefox 32bit first and then remove the old WMP9 plugin hack (if used) and install Firefox, then install the WMP11 Firefox plugin and then copy the file “np-mswmp.dll” out of the Firefox plugin folder into your Opera plugin folder.

After that you can uninstall the Firefox browser.

If you did it correct, the plugin’s “about” window will say version 11!
