Nafcom's Personal Site

AOL sucks, yes they really do! Why do they do? Because when I tried to install the latest Netscape it totally destoyed the Windows Vista firewall and Firewall Control! So most web applications would be no longer possible to access to the internet because the Windows Firewall will block it but I could neither effectively change nor alter the rules since Netscape broke it. Of course I had no system restore point set at all so I had to replace some folders from an older image of Vista and now it works again! 🙂

However I have an uninstallation issue with Skype now as it cannot find the temp files for the removing before updating.

I have sent an email to them 🙂

The ICQ Team showed fun again with the Arpil Joke this year. Just a tiny sentence on the right showed the person that it is a fool! 🙂

Somehow Electonic Arts totally logged me out of their account system, while it only was for the support system of EA Germany first, now it’s also for the recently released Command & Conquer Tiberium Wars (which they call number 3 but infact is number 6 if you do count in the ego shooter C&C Renegade and number 5 if you do if you don’t).

Here is what happens:

At login, It says I need an account and “Nafcom” account does not exist . (same when I try password reminder).

2)If I try to create one it says “Nafcom” already exists, use Nafcom 2, Nafcom3, Nafcom0, etc.

So on some places the system say “Nafcom” exsists and on other places it says the account does not exist.
So whatever I do I cannot login anymore.

The only ones I could email was EA Denmark which wrote to me that they cannot help me, I have to write to EA USA or Germany.
So will have to print out the email and send it by post.

EA seems to have problems lately

A friend of mine in UK couldn’t use his serial anymore because the server said it was invalid but infact it worked perfectly all the years before.

Well, turned out he had to buy himself a new copy.

As widely known, Real Player refuses to install in Windows Vista X64 and it’s also known that RealNetworks is slow.

As written here, it will be out by July! (Yes, THAT late!).

Quote:

“I talked to a third party vendor that works with Real Player to bring better Feeds and sent them an email and they sent me back an email telling me that they had a meeting with Real Player yesterday and will be VISTA compatible by the next Big Brother which is gonna start in July… “

It’s time again to report about problems I experience in Vista.

One of them is the blocky image zoom issue in Windows Vista, What does this mean? It means, in Windows XP when you zoom images, they get a bit blurry when you zoom to a certain degree but they still look okay, however in Windows Vista they look blocky like stairs!

To my surprise not many people post about it. I found one place doing this in a forum here. Other problems can be found here. The only solution I found yet is to use Internet Explorer 7 to display them for zooming which zooms them the old XP style.

If anybody found a way to get the image zooming correctly in the image preview of Vista, please let me know!

My replies on AllExperts.com seems to convince people because interestingly, recently people ask me non-email related stuff in the email category like what I think about their career ideas, advertiesement possibilities, problems with the Firefox browser (a browser I even do not use! =) ).

PC Tools’s Spyware generates spam using Skype, which sounds like a joke is unfortunately true! It’s using Skype’s mood messages.

Source: Skype Watch Blog.
More info can be found at PC Tools’ Forum.

The interesting thing is how their support sees it. 2 things:

1) They claim it’s no spam, etc.
2) They claim it’s fixed in the latest update but people say it isn’t

Is The PCTools Spyware Doctor soon detected as a threat in SpyBot?! 😉
