Senneheiser was Skyping me the other day and told me that – thanks to the info supplied by RTX, they found out that all their MB (Mobile Business) models made for MOTOROLA should work on the old RTX Dualphone!

After the recent problems and return, SkypeJournal is completely back up now and with a new layout on a new webspace. Unfortunately also Bill Cambell left them because of internal problems. Which is so sad, since his posts were the best 🙂 (Yes, I have read a couple =) ).
SkypeJournal itself tells other reasons:
It’s been a while and lots has happened over the past five weeks. When I left for a week’s vacation on the WiFi-depleted island of Cozumel immediately after US Thanksgiving I did not expect to be off the air so long. However, our previous hosting provider (whose identity is unknown to me) ran out of the resources required to scale up a growing Moveable Type weblog. It got to a point where we could not even post new entries.
Well, maybe the truth lies somewhere in the midde! 😉

Exactly as I predicted earlier, the market is getting ran over with bunches of Skype wi-fi phones. Skype’s wi-fi mobile program turns out to be very successful. The new Cisco iPhone will be the 4th Skype wi-fi phone.
And they all look 100% equal! Not only this, also the software used seems to be equal and they all seem to turn out Skype certificated. (Which I think probably is because they all use the same GUI?).
Maybe since Apple uses the ‘i’ very often, this fact will help Cisco to promote their phone even better!

There has been an update for the SPH101 which obviously, for unknown reasons, has been removed again from their servers.
according to Skype Forum thread the firmware update that has been made available for a short period of time was 1.0.46.1 which interestingly didn’t seem to fix any bugs.
(According to their homepage the latest official firmware is 1.0.35.31.
Here is what I experience:
“When I try the one on the resource cd it says “the updates are not available at this time,. please try again later”
no firewall or anythinb that could block it
and when I try the one from the homepage it just finds the one I already have.”

I have just done a new update of my Customer support emails of international communic. companies table! adding this time my experinces with the following mobile phone network providers:
M-Tel Bulgaria, Globul Bulgaria, VivaTel Bulgaria!
M-Tel where the only ones who replied to me! Not only this, but even within less than 24h and on Christmas! They replied to all my emails in a rush and with helpful informaion.
Also they were the first customer support of abroad that used smilies like “:-)”! 🙂
One gets the impression that they love their job!
Thanks!
Additonal thanks go to the admin of HWSpirit, who helped me out with supplying some general information!

ICQ does still do buisness with Oberon.
For those who do not know who they are: They are the ones that had Word Ninja, Sumo Volleyball and Sumo Chesss inside ICQ 4’s Xtraz.
When the ICQ Team released ICQ 5 in February 2005 Oberon has removed those famous games!
There is even a campaign trying ever since to save Sumo Volleyball.
However, all calls and emails to Oberan remained ignored, they simply don’t care.
Now, as seen on above screenshot they have running an add about a new game: “(ICQ) Unlimited Football, which only works in Internet Explorer!
